- I've felt prompted to go through our antiguos and menos activos sheets for a while. There was a sheet in one of our binders that on the back has no teaching record. All it says in huge letters is "GOLD!!! Read the whole triple before meeting with the missionaries. Found us!" so obviously it caught my attention. Earlier this week I found the sheet and still felt as if we should go find this MA woman. On Saturday we finally had time to do it and we found her!! She's been living in San Diego for the past few months, taking care of her sick daughter and her grandbaby. She only comes home every 2 weeks to grab more clothes and the only reason she was there was because her pipes broke so she had to get the water fixed. WE WOULD NEVER HAVE FOUND HER IF IT DIDN'T!!!!!! AND she was so nice!!!!!!!!! She's NOT MA (inactive)!!!! She's been going to church in San Diego and is preparing to enter the temple!! And as we were leaving, she offered us food which ended up being a miracle!!!!! We didn't have a dinner that night and she gave us a full on meal to take home!! She was cooking up a storm in front of us. She flipped sauce!! Who does that?!?! I can't even flip a pancake!! It tasted so good and she wants to feed us again when she comes back in another 2 weeks!! So amazing seeing how the spirit will lead you to exactly where you need to be!! So many experiences like that this week!!
- My comp. totally embarressed herself the other night. It was sooo funny!!! A young Hispanic guy, about our age opened the last door during KO (it's always the last door) the other night and the only people we had been talking to were heavier, white, old men. So my comp got a little flustered and as we were talking to him about God she randomly asked "Have you ever seen the karate kid?" he said yes and I look at her like what are you talking about?!? She then went on to explain how "God is like a bunch of the old wise man from that movie combined teaching us life karate" it was so funny!!!!!!!! You could see the regret on her face as soon as she started talking about it! She's only seen that movie once when she was 13 haha it was so funny!! I quickly testified and got us out of there before she could say anything else!! THEN we ran into some English Elders while leaving our dinner less than an hour later and she thinks one of them is handsome so she got flustered again and as he was telling us about how the past Saturday there had been a huge parade with a ton of Hispanic people and horses in that area, she goes "Oh manure. People. Manure. But not people manure." We all just looked at her and I said "thank you for clarifying" it was so funny. In her defense earlier we had been talking about how it smelled like manure. It was a super funny night for us though. Lots of laughs haha!
- We've been able to see so many people through God's eyes this past week. I've felt so much love for people I barely know. It makes me so happy just imagining how much Christ loves them!! He knows them perfectly!!!!!! My love is so small in comparison but it's there! And I love reminding people that God does love them and because He does, He sent His son to die for us. Oh how I love our Savior and our Heavenly Father!! They're the best!!!!!
- Our ward mission leader just got back from El Salvador and he brought us back little handmade coin purses. They're so cute!!!
- The talks "God Shall Wipe Away All Tears" and "To Whom Shall We Go?" from this last session of General Conference are so amazing!!! Go read them!!! So is 2 Nephi 25!! Oh how I love the scriptures and the many places we can go to be spiritually uplifted!! We are so blessed!!!
- Benjamin, our star investigator, might get baptized Christmas morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTT?!?!
?!?!??! How amazing would that be!!!!!!!!!! It's not for sure but it's an option!!! I'm gonna freak out if that happens though!! What better gift than Salvation!?!? I'll keep ya'll posted!!!
