Hello from the beautiful square of Van Nuys 5th area 2! Here are some fun facts about my new area...
- We are biking girls!! Our area isn't super huge and it's pretty flat (especially compared to San Fernando) so that's awesome!
- We live on the second floor of our apartment building and there's no elevator so we carry those bikes up and down 2 flights of stairs every day!!
- This ward is awesome and super on board to do missionary work!!! It's amazing!!!!!!
- There are a million Goldmines (Part member families) in our area!!!
- There is a Senior couple assigned to our ward and it's like having grandparents on the mission! I love it!!!
This past Sunday was full of miracles at church!!! At one point the 2nd counselor pulled us out of Sunday School to give us ANOTHER referral and brings us to a room where we see our Bishop holding a baby in his lap with 2 other women sitting near him. He sits us down and says "This baby's dad is married to her *pointing to the younger girl* and the 5 of us are going to work together to get him baptized" MILAGRO!!!!! So so cool!!!!!! Can't wait!!!
It is HOT here and we come home looking like we've spent a long hot day working our bums off! haha it's great! People must be terrified of us haha
I miss my old area a ton!!! I just love those people so so much!!! But I get to go back almost every week this transfer for a baptism so that's awesome!!!! I can't wait!!!!! Raul is first and getting baptized on Friday!!! Please keep him in your prayers!!!!!! And soon we'll be having baptisms of our own here as well!!!
The church is true!! God loves us!! I am meant to be here for a reason! Can't wait to keep working and see what it is!!!!
