This week has been great though!!
Kevin and his family are sooo awesome!! They made it to church right before sacrament meeting ended, wearing "church clothes" for the first time!!! It was adorable! Turns out they were so late because they were waiting for their shirts to finish drying. Too cute!
There was a funeral this past week for an Hermano in our ward. His daughter and son-in-law had been baptized the day before and then confirmed the day he died. It was a really powerful testimony of God's perfect timing. They had the gift of the Holy Ghost to comfort them during that time and they were so grateful for that!
On Saturday we had to go pick up the church keys from our Zone Leaders. While I was talking to them I smiled and waved at a man walking down the street. A minute or two later, as we were getting ready to drive away, I saw that man outside my driver side window. Initially I was pretty freaked out but Hna Arenas was brave and told me to roll down the window to talk to him. It turns out he's going through a really hard time in his life right now and wants to learn more about Jesus Christ! It was amazing! We talked to him about the power of the Book of Mormon, the healing power of the Atonement of Jesus Christ, and how baptism can cleanse us. We ended up setting a baptismal date with him right then!! THEN the next day he walked an hour and a half to come to church! CRAZY!!! He ended up ditching after 15 minutes haha but it was still really cool!!!
I've started reading conference talks again and I don't know why I ever stopped!!! Go read some General Conference talks peeps!!! They are the bomb!!!
I feel like I've been in a weird funk lately so I'm trying to refind my mojo. It'll come :)
