- We officially hit our 5 months on Valentine's day!! Pictures to come!! It was a crazy day though because that morning we had gone to a park near our house because they have a ton of exercise equipment as part of the park (California is so funny) and swings (we love the swings) for our exercise time and while we were walking back I realized that the phone had fallen out of my pocket! AH!!! We retraced our steps and spent the next hour looking for it but couldn't find it! Yikes! The AP's had to bring us a new phone and before KO we retraced our steps again calling it on repeat and after 42 (yes FORTY-TWO) phone calls in less than 10 mins someone finally answered it!! Apparently some kids grandpa had found it and was keeping it at their house for safe keeping. haha we ended up getting it back though so that was good!
- Martin (the guy from last week who we called an hour before church and had him and his family actually show up!) became our investigator and is getting baptized in less than 3 weeks on March 11th!! AHHHHH!!!!! HE IS SO GOLDEN!!! WALK INTO THE FONT READY!!!! I LOVE HIM!!!! They are such an amazing family!! He is such an amazing guy and been through so much and we've already seen so many milagros with him!!! Can't wait to help him continue to progress towards baptism!!! March 11th here we come!!
- La Familia Llerenas. I literally love them SO FREAKING MUCH!!!! They're a part member family (only Chris the 18 year old son is a member but super less active) and we're at their house ALL the time because they love feeding us whenever our meals fall through. They just love having us over in general!! And their hearts are slowly being softened!! Alma (mom) and Chris came to sacrament meeting on Sunday!!! AHHH!!! We complimented her jacket on Sunday and she asked us to come over last night because she had something for us and it was the same jacket! She had bought us matching ones at Sams LOLOL she is sooo funnY!!! Every time we leave there they give us sooo much stuff!! She just keeps shopping at Sam's for us because she goes every single day! She's hilarious and I looovvvee her!!! Can't wait to see their hearts continue to be softened and eat more of her food haha! They're just the best and we are always laughing and feel so loved there!
- During KO we met a 13 year old girl named Nicole and taught her the first lesson and committed her to be baptized on March 25th! AHH!!! Another milagro!!! We now have 4 Investigators progressing towards baptism and many more on the way! This area is on fire and we love it so much!!! Transfers are next week and hopefully both of us will stay!!
- The other night we went to visit Jose and he started playing "Count Your Many Blessings" in Spanish off of Youtube for us and made us sing with him and inbetween verses he started praying to the Lord and we were sitting outside of his house and belting it the whole time and it looked sooo funny!! We were trying really hard not to laugh the whole time. I love Jose!! Too funny!
- This week I've been thinking a lot about the power our words can carry. Our district leader pointed out that words are so powerful that even Christ is sometimes referred to as "the word". I love this point. We can choose to uplift others or tear them down through our words. That's pretty powerful when you think about it.
