Maria Covarrubias passed her interview!!! We were worried about her but after the interview she ran up to us and yelled "Me voy a bautizar!!" (I'm gonna be baptized!!!) and looked so happy and was clapping! It was adorable!!! Such a cute viajita!!! I got so excited I jumped up and knocked my glass over so it broke. Soccorro (her husband) made me pat the ground dry where my water had spilled (even though it was outside) lolol too funny! Soccorro and Jose (son) keep arguing though and Maria is thinking it would be better for her to wait until they calm down to be baptized. NOOOO!!!!!!!! Keep her in your prayers please!!! We're working on it!!! Hopefully everything works out by Saturday!!!
Raul is such a boss!!! His baptismal interview is coming up! Please pray for him!!! He is doing so well!!! He's stopped drinking coffee and is getting a lot closer to stopping smoking!! I just love him so much and we can always feel the love he has for us as well!!
We taught Principios de Evangelio (Gospel Principles) yesterday at church without any preperation but it went super great!! Our recent converts/Investigators basically taught for us! haha they're the best!
This week I was reminded of how grateful I am to be able to speak Spanish. I love it sooo much!!!!! It is such a beautiful and fun language. Yesterday a RM came to visit with his mom who doesn't speak Spanish and as we were sitting in Relief Society I was sure she understood what was happening because it was a "super simple topic" and then I realized, 6 months ago, I didn't even know what was going on and I had been studying Spanish for 3 months already. Super cool experience. I am so grateful for the gift of tongues!!! I've also forgotten how to pray and sometimes speak in English haha you pick up weird habits as an Hermana. Sure do love it!!
We've met some pretty awesome people this past week from knocking doors and just opening our mouths. I sure do love San Fernando California!!!! The other day during KO this boy about our age opened the door and looked a little too happy to see us. His mom came out and it turns out their whole family is investigating right now in Arizona and they're just visiting for the week!! Super cool!!! We taught them lesson 1 (because the son was behind) and talked about baptism!! Then we almost put them on date for August 5th!!! IT WAS SO COOL!!! They're praying about it and gonna talk to their missionaries and they looked so excited to be baptized on that day!!! SUCH AN AWESOME EXPERIENCE!!!
It is HOT out here!!! Yesterday it was 114 DEGREES!!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHH!!! AND WE WERE BIKING!!!! AND I FORGOT/DIDN'T HAVE TIME TO EAT UNTIL 5 PM!!! Let's just say I thought I was gonna fall over on my bike and pass out so we went to Alma's and she made us some yummy pork chops and gave us popsicles!!! LOVE HER!!!
This is the last week of the transfer so we'll find out what's happening on Saturday. I REALLY WANT TO STAY!!!!!!!! But we'll see what God wants. I love these people soooo much though!!!

WE LOVE ISAAC!!!! And standing far apart from boys!! haha
Jose took us home in his truck (with little Maria sitting in the back with us) lol he cracks me up. He also took us out to dinner and forced this girl to take a picture of us and it turns out she's a recent convert and less active in the English ward and we were able to get her information to send the Sisters by her house!!! Super cool miracle!!! Jose's crazy ways bring miracles afterall!
Elder Jager's funeral!!! Sure gonna miss him!! He is an amazing district leader!
A heavenly lunch with Ana and Paul
