Kevin was baptized this past Saturday by Elder Lytle and it was ADORABLE!!!!!!!! I just love their family so much!!! His dad cried as an Hermana did a musical number. I love this church and the happiness it brings to everyone!!!!! Goldmines are the BEST!!!!!!!!
We had a crazy experience with one of our Investigators this past week! Cute 13 year old Crystal went missing. It was really scary. Her mom texted us late Saturday night to ask if she was with us but she wasn't and when we went by Sunday morning she still hadn't come home. We (more like I, Hna Arenas kept her cool all day) were freaking out! She ended up coming home around 6 Sunday night and her mom let us know. We were so relieved!!!! We went by later that night to see how she was doing and she was at her grandmas but we taught her mom and committed her to be baptized on the same day as Crystal!!!!!! A crazy blessing in disguise?! Her mom wants peace in her life because of all the chaos with her children and we promised her that baptism was the way to find that and she was 100% on board!!!! So so excited for their family!!! Now we just gotta get her sister to be on board too!!!
We keep finding people just from opening our mouths!!!!! We're doing our best to talk to everyone and we are finding so many people who are looking for the truth, they just didn't know where to find it!
We fasted as a zone for church attendance so that was pretty cool! I'll find out later tonight at ZLC to see how that went!
We had a TON of milagros on exchanges this past week and one of them was Elma and Monse! They are a cute little family that live with la familia Lombardo. We eat with them every Thursday, along with 2 other Elder companionships, and Elma (the mom) hasn't wanted to learn for the past couple of years THEN this past Thursday we were sharing the message and Hna Starke sang Senor Te Necisito (I Need Thee Every Hour) and we asked them to think of who needed the Lord in their lives as she sang. Afterwards I asked Hna L and she said Elma. The room went silent and I turned to Elma and asked her, in front of everyone, if she wanted to listen to the messages that we share and she said YES!!! AND that we could teach her right after dinner!!! IT WAS A FREAKING HUGE MILAGRO!!!!! I can't express how awesome it was over email but it was amzing!!!! Such a cool experience! The Spirit was so strong!
Some updates on some of my recent converts......Isaac has started going to the YSA congregation so I see him every Sunday! He wasn't here this past Sunday because he was in Vegas and he texted the missionaries there to make sure I knew where he was and that he was going to find the local church in Vegas and not to worry about him! haha I love Isaac so much! Raul Morales got called to be the 2nd counselor in the Sunday School Presidency! And Ana Martinez got called to work with the Young Women!!!! I LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!!!
Man the church is so true and I love these people so much!!!! GOD IS GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Transfers are next week and I'm praying that I'll stay!!! But who knows!!!
