This last week together has been great!!!
We fasted as a mission for church attendance and our baptismal dates and when Sacrament meeting started none of our Investigators were there. As they passed the sacrament I was praying so hard when one of our Inv called us! And from there is history.....6 OF OUR INVESTIGATORS CAME TO CHURCH!!!!!! 2 OF OUR BAP DATES (who would not have been able to get baptized on the 25th if they hadn't come to church), A WHOLE FAMILY THAT'S NEVER BEEN TO CHURCH TOGETHER, AND SOMEONE WE HAVEN'T SEEN/TALKED TO IN OVER 3 MONTHS!!!!! IT WAS CRAZY!!!! We felt so incredibly blessed!!!
Halloween was a big party!!! My comps and I assigned all the missionaries in our zone "couples costumes" and almost all of them actually dressed up!!! It was so funny!!! We also got to watch Meet the Mormons and have pizza. It was way fun!
Hna Sanchez and I OYMd to someone named Yunan on an exchange. He said he was moving and not super interested but we left him with a pamphlet and our phone number. Late one night we got 3 calls in a row from an unknown number and it was him!!!! He told us he wanted to come to church!! On Saturday we had a church tour with him and the spirit was so strong!!! He opened up about his life and this poor guy has spent more of his life incarcerated than out as a normal person. He truly wants to change his life for the better and he ended up coming to the YSA ward the next day!!! We introduced him to the Elders and they are gonna take super good care of him!
We were running super late that same night and were suppose to go visit our Inv Angelica who is getting baptized later this month. We weren't sure if we should go to the church tour or be even later but I felt that we should still stop by Angelica and I'm so glad we did!!! We taught her about the importance of church and the spirit was super super strong!!! We all cried! She opened up about her son and how he's falling into alcoholism and that's how her husband also died and it was just really sad. She ended up coming to church the next day and she loved it!!!!
Isaac and Jose (some of my favs from SF) got my phone number and are now calling to come be MPs and feed us!!! haha love love love them!!
