- The way people treat others who "don't matter" (waitresses, cashiers, missionaries, etc.) shows a lot about their character. My comp. said that and I love it. So so true.
- At the judgement bar we won't be judged for just our sins. We will be judged for our works as a whole; including the good we didn't do. That thought kinda freaks me out but also motivates me to work so much harder! We have been given much so much is expected!!
- Philippians 4:13 "Todo lo puedo en Cristo que me fortalece" aka I can do all things through Christ which strengthen me. I love this scripture because it says which and not who. I noticed this the other day and imagined it written as "I can do all things which strengthen me through Christ". Christ will only help us do all things if these "things" strengthen us. He won't help us do things which will eventually hurt us. How wonderful it is that we know He's always on our side. Even when He's not helping us, He's helping us.
- Don't allow other people's agency to determine your salvation. And don't allow your agency to determine another's. The second part of that echos through my head every time I knock on a door or see someone on the street. I don't want my lack of effort to prevent another person from hearing about the gospel at the moment they might need it most. We can't know if someone will accept it or not until we ask!
- My friend Austin said this in his email and I loved it!! "The armor of God was never meant to be comfortable. We are in battle. Don't be surprised when you start to sweat a bit from the heat of the fire" so true!!
- Everyday is an opportunity to improve. Thank goodness. God has trusted us missionaries to do literally the most important thing in the world, bring His children back to Him. We are called in our weakness and qualified in our work! Everyday we can become closer to Christ!
- When we're teaching lessons I try to think "if Christ was teaching this person right now, what would He say to them?" because He is! As missionaries, we are disciples of Christ. We are representing Him in every moment. We are called to teach His people the way He would. So crazy! But crazy awesome!!!
- The other day we talked to a grandma in her underwear. LOL we all kinda yelped when we saw each other but she kept talking to us so we didn't want to be rude and leave haha.
- Also I totally ate it this morning on our run and am currently typing with 3 Finding Nemo band-aids on my hand haha.
- Yesterday was Fast Sunday and I got up to bear my testimony. When I got to the pulpit my mind instantly went blank and was like ummm what's Spanish? haha esta bien. The spirit helped me out. There was definitely a moment of fear though haha.
Hope all is well in everyone's lives!! God is good! Life is good!! Mucho amor!!
