Week 19-New Area! New Ward! Same Comp!!

Hey!!!  Things are going great here!!! There is SO MUCH WORK TO BE DONE!!!! It's super overwhelming but also exciting!! Hermana McGlinchy and I are just trying to prioritize according to what the Lord needs done when. Being together has been super fun!! Especially when it comes to Spanish because we both are definitely still learning. It's making for good stories! haha The new area is great!! Super small compared to my old area (like a third of it) but still soooo many people!! The new ward is amazing!!! I love it!! So many amazing people! I can't wait to work with all of them! They've really got their act together which is super nice! Our investigators are adorable!! Three of them came to church on Sunday which made us so happy!!! And some less actives too!!! I love the work!!! There's so much but it's so good!!

Here are some highlights from the week....
  • During our first day of KO together we opened a gate (after checking for dogs) and were kncoking on the front door when all the sudden this HUGE super scary dog came out of nowhere and came right towards us. AHH!!! We tried to calmly get out of there ASAP and then the dog ran out of the yard into the street!! We spent the next 10 or so minutes trying to bring it back without getting attacked!! SO SCARY and also super funny haha!! Luckily a nice neighbor helped us get him back in before he bit our hand off!
  • The familia Escobar!!! Ana is our investigator. She lives with Christian and their 9 year old son Paul. Christian use to be super inactive but Ana got him to start going again and now he absolutely loves the church! And Paul got baptized less than a year ago!! They're the best!!! She is soooo converted to gospel and wants to be baptized so bad but they have to wait for legal things to work out with Christian's previous wife. They're an amazing family though and I love teaching them!!!!
  • EVERYONE is trying to make us fat!! Haha people keep sending us, and the other Sisters we live with, home with treats. There's a huge pile in our kitchen! It's nice but sooo much stuff!!!
  • Tomorrow an Area Seventy is coming to speak to our mission!! Super exciting!!! There always doing surprise apartment inspections so we've been cleaning like crazy today! We'll see if they pick our humble abode
Love you all!! Hope all is well in your lives!!!
