- Martin Ledezma!!! AHH!!! I LOVE HIM SO FREAKING MUCH!!!! He bore his testimony yesterday during fast and testimony meeting and it was so gosh darn good!!! HE IS SO AMAZING!!!!!!! We pushed his baptismal date back a few weeks for some marriage paperwork but he's going to be married and baptized on the same day and we're so pumped!!! He's just the best!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE them!!!
- We've been sending out scripture texts to different members of our ward over the past few weeks and multiple people bore there testimony about it and how it's been making a difference in their lives and how they've been getting them at the moment they need it most. Made us feel really good and happy :)
- We picked up another new Investigator named Juan and he is so stinking funny!!! We teach him on the horse farm where he works (mom I know you love that) and he always tell us to come back and ride his horses! haha He's super great! Hopefully we can get him to start progressing! He sure does love us though!
- We had a potential from the first day of last transfer (6 weeks ago) who has a daughter that is a member in a ward near us. A few weeks later after not hearing from her, we stopped by and met her husband. He opened up about how he has come to know God throughout his trials in life (being an alcoholic, drug addict, gang member, in and out of jail, etc). The day before he and his daughter got in a huge fight. We hadn't been able to see them since that time, but early this week, we thought about this couple and felt we needed to go see them right at that moment. We showed up at the doorstep and the daughter was at their house for the first time since they fought (over a month ago). She described to us how she woke up and knew she had to go to her parents today. She has been struggling going to church and expressed how she has been trying to get her parents to meet with the missionaries for years because of the influence that the church has had on her own life. We got to know them better and started to form a really good friendship. Before we left we all said a prayer together and it was really sweet. They invited us back for dinner tomorrow night and told us how they knew it wasn't just a coincidence that we came. Such a milagro!!! Such an amazing experience and lesson on following the spirit!!!!
- We decided to try to motivate the youth to do missionary work to help us find more people to teach. We made a poster board, different challenges, and shared a message with them at mutual (youth group) this past week! One of the young women bore her testimony about it at church and it was so awesome!!!! She's been having so many spiritual experiences and conversations with her friends and she told us it was because of us. So crazy!!! She's going to be such an amazing missionary one day!!!
- We had to move Ana's baptismal date because the divorce is suppose to take 6 months to finalize now :( super sad but their family has enough faith, hope, and law of chastity jokes to last them another 6 months!!! haha
- Last week we stopped by a potential and found her and her husband at home. We talked with them and found out that their 38 year old son had just passed away of cancer. Super super sad. The mom is super upset with God because of it and we felt really sad for them. We shared a part of the Plan of Salvation with them and talked about how Christ knows how they feel and that God also had to see His own Son go through the hardest experience anyone has ever had too. We went by again yesterday to see how they were doing. Sadly they weren't home but their daughter answered and told us that her mom had told her about us and how we've already made a big difference in her life. It was such a tender moment for us. No effort is wasted. I love being a missionary.
- I was studying the Atonement this morning and wanted to share something that stood out to me.....Christ not only takes away all of our pains and sins, He replaces them with joy and comfort. How amazing is that! Christ goes the extra mile just for us. I love our Savior so much. So so so incredibaly grateful for Him and my knowledge that He lives and loves each of us individually
