Tuesday and Wednesday Hermana McGlinchy and I were dead to the world. We spent both days in bed sleeping the WHOLE day!!! We'd sleep for 2 hours then talk for 5 mins then sleep for 2 hours then talk for 10 mins on repeat. It was awful!! So sick! Gripa!! We only left to get baja blasts at Taco Bell and then slept for 2 hours afterwards cause we were so tired! Being sick as a missionary is the worst! But we are much better now!
- Thursday we had ZTM (zone training meeting) and it was so bomb!!! We learned so much and made me want to be a much better missionary!!! So grateful for the ability to change and improve myself. The mission is really helping me become the person Heavenly Father sent me to be. So grateful for this amazing experience I am having. I would encourage EVERYONE to pray about serving a mission. It's the best decision I've ever made!!
- Tomorrow we hit 6 months! I can't believe it's already been that long!! A third of the mission gone and a year left!! Can't wait to experience it!
- This week we tried ceviche AND IT WAS SOOOO BOMB!!!!!!!! The best way I can describe it is pico de gallo with shrimp and the shrimp is cooked by the limes which is cool. You put it on tostados with mayo, vale sauce, and soy sauce. SOOO yummy!!!! We had it with a less active named Arisha who is a single mom and has 9 kids under the age of 13. She is such a boss. We really admire her!! Her kids always look beautiful on Sunday's. She's the best!!
- We've been finding more Investigators which is fun!!! At ZTM we were challenged to use a new finding technique other than KO and we decided ours would be chalking! Whenever we have a free moment we take some chalk and write mormon.org or scripture references or things like that! We're gonna draw out the Plan of Salvation at a park one of these days! I'm pumped!!! We found a super solid potential through it! So awesome!!! And a ton of fun!!
- We put Jimmy Mendoza on date!!!! He's 13 and the son of a menos activo and the dad was speechless when he heard the news! And that's saying something for Cesar haha! We're so excited for him and praying that his mom (who he lives with during the week) will give permission!!
- Our investigator Candelario was working in an orange field over a thousand acres large this past week and brought us a HUGE crate of oranges!! They're so fresh and yummy!!! We probably got over 200! We've been sharing with members though!
- We had a lesson one on one with Jose's mom and the priesthood finally started to click for her! It was amazing being able to see the gears start turning in her head! Such a cool experience!
- Martin's baptism and wedding was rescheduled to April 8th because of General Conference and the fact that Stephanie doesn't want to be married on April Fool's...who could blame her haha. He is soooo awesome!!!! We taught him the Word of Wisdom this past week and we asked him why he thinks we should keep it and he listed off nearly 10 different blessings that can come because of it. No need to finish the pamphlet! haha he's soooo great!!! We love them a lot!!
- I'm currently in LOVE with the Book of Mormon and Preach my Gospel. Such powerhouse tools!! PLEASE read the BoM!!!! Not only is it a great story, it holds soooo much truth, ALL of the truth, and we will be so blessed for doing so!
Hermana Pfeil
WAFFLE LOVE IS IN RESEDA!!! AHHHHH!!!
found this scripture in the Bible the other day and we thought it was hilarious!! Whenever we feel fat we just talk about how we're trusting now! haha new mission motto!!
we got face masks from a part member family and had a lot of fun with them!! haha
sometimes we visit Marco a menos activo and he gives us fruta!!! YUM!!
