Week 30-OUR BATHROOM FLOODED, WE DRANK ALCOHOL, AND WE'RE STILL TOGETHER!!!!

If you couldn't tell from the title of this email......THIS WEEK WAS INSANE!!!!! We took a million photos so here's our week in pictures!!! (over several emails...SORRY!!)
ANTONIO!!! He is the cutest!!! He's getting baptized on May13th and at the start of our second lesson with him he goes "Should we start with the homework" and goes and grabs his notebook and Book of Mormon because he's been taking notes. SO CUTE!!!!!!! So legit!! LOVE him!!!
Tuesday morning we came back from exercise and found our bathroom flooded!! The tenants above us messed up their toilet and it all came down to us!! It came out of the wall and ceiling!

We spent most of the day cleaning it up and were scooping the water up with a cup because we didn't have enough towels. So nasty!!

The maintenance men cut a huge hole in our ceiling to try to help and hopefully they can come back sometime this week to fix it! Luckily we have another bathroom in our apartment but at one point that one broke too!! It's ok now though!

Marco, a less active, always gives us fruit when we go visit him. He's so cute!! Just needs to come to church!

Sister Parker, our roommate, went on bike for the first time the other day but at one point she left her bag on the ground and started biking away and completely forgot about it! We were convinced her bag was long gone but later that night she got a call from a good samaritan who had seen her bag on the side of the road and picked it up so no one would steel it! She got it back the next morning! Milagro!!

Here's the story about our first ever experience with alcohol.....basically we were visiting with Antonio and his mom (they are the ones that we went to the birthday party). She called us and invited us over and made us some jello. She asked us if we wanted something on it. We didn't recognize what word it was in Spanish but assumed it was whip cream but she came back with a huge bottle that looked like alcohol! WHAT?!?! And then she starts pouring it on our jello! We start arguing and saying no Hermana we don't drink! We can't have it!! And she starts yelling at us to drink/eat it and that it's not alcohol and then she takes our cups and drinks the majority of it and is furious with us and keeps promising that it's just eggs and milk (it was creamy and yellowish like that and we've had that stuff before) so after 10 mins we finally are convinced that it's not alcohol and then IT IS!! It tasted awful and we called Raul (our ex-gangster friend) and described it to him and confirmed that it's a "lady's drink" so long story short...Hermana McGlinchy and I were pretty scared and couldn't stop laughing and freaking out! CRAZY story!!!

Our Investigator Martin got us a gift card to his work and it was sooo sweet!!! He has hardly any money but he wanted to do it for us because he knows that God will bless him. LOVE HIM!!!!

 Martin is the cutest!!!!

MIRNA and ANGELES!!!! We've been teaching Mirna for over 6 months but her daughter just got here from Honduras about a month ago and now she's getting baptized too!!! Another one set for May 13th!!! We're so excited!!!!

MARTIN!!!! He's getting baptized on May 20th!! We love him SOOOO much!!!! He's amazing and such a sweet heart!!! Can't wait to help him reach his date!!!

Us with 2 of our favorite Elders who are both leaving the zone. So sad!!!

Us with Elder Maynes!!! Throwback to the MTC!! We love him!!!

We're still together!!!  3 transfers together!!! It's almost unheard of in our mission but we're super pumped!!!

The Morales family!!! The ex-gangsters!!! LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!!! They've got our back no matter what and we love them for that!!!

My roommates

Another facemask!! We put them on and hid in our roommates room with the lights off and scared Sister Parker so bad that she fell to the floor!! It was hilarious!!!!

President Henrie gave us a mission wide challenge to read 7 pages from the Book of Mormon everyday starting on April 7th (the day Joseph Smith started to translate it) so that we'll finish by June 30th (the day Joseph Smith finished translating the Book of Mormon). We LOVE this challenge!!! We're suppose to read it through the eyes of Joseph Smith for the first time and it's helping me grow my testimony of the Book of Mormon so much. I love it. I know it's true. I testify of it everyday and I know my life is blessed because of it. READ IT!!!

We're all about that TacoBell happy hour...baja blasts are life when it's 90 degrees and you're about to knock doors for 2 hours!

 Some things never change lol
