Angeles got confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and I love her soooo much!!! It was so beautiful hearing the words that our Bishop told her about her life and her future. It really hit me as I listened that this little girl will one day have a family of her own in the church and be sealed in the temple to them for all time and eternity and that she might even serve a mission! As missionaries, or people in general, we often don't see the fruits of our labors. This baptism will bless hundreds of lives. So incredible to think about!!
Jimmy was baptized yesterday!!! It was so great!!! We ended up having to wait an hour for his dad to come back from working all the way in Beverly Hills (building a house) but it all worked out!! His Uncle baptized him and it was such a special moment seeing it happen. Church is true!!! Afterwards we asked Jimmy how he felt and this 13 year old boy stood in front of us and said "Thank you for showing me this." Our hearts just melted. I love Jimmy!!
Transfer calls came and the Dream Team has come to an end :( (for now) but it's all good because I will be staying in San Fernando!! Making it my 4th transfer here!! (By the end I'll have served here for 6 months!) and my new companion will be Hermana Hopkin!! I love her! We will also be the new STL's (Sister Training Leader's) in the zone!! It's gonna be crazy but I'm super excited to see what's coming!!!
I had the opportunity to go to the temple this past week for Hermana McGlinchy's birthday and boy oh boy I love this church!!!! CHURCH IS TRUE!!! Go to the temple!!!
This past Saturday we were super blessed to have a special women's conference! The General Relief Society and Primary presidents of the church came and also one of the General Young Women's councilor came and also an Elder of the Seventy! It was broadcasted to 4 stakes and over 4,200 women ages 8 and up! It was super awesome and we got to see it live!!! They all talked to us and the spirit was so strong!! I looked around during the closing hymn, as a room packed with women from the church sang, and thought, this is what heaven will be like. I love this church!!!!
Being a missionary is so amazing!! There are so many blessings. I love California. I love my family. I love the church. I love my Savior. I love life!!
